Delightful Dusk

Came evening;a picture glowed

A few sour green hearts dangled;

about the black mulberry.

Plumes of pampas:silvery

chanting a mantra-hassled

“black,gold,silver”!it crowed

Blue mist of October-beyond it lay

Veiling the lawn-torched tree kindled;at bay.

Inspired from an excerpt from the short story The Little Willow authored by Frances Towers
